The most iconic images of the moon landing have become a $10,000-plus collectible in the United States.
The photos are often viewed as a kind of national treasure and can sell for tens of thousands of dollars, even in the midst of a recession.
But, in Canada, the moon is the biggest collectible and a moon rock is the second most valuable rock, according to a new study by a group of researchers at the University of Toronto and the University at Buffalo.
“There’s a lot of demand for these pictures,” said senior author Scott B. Williams, a professor of political science at the university.
“The more interesting, and the more popular, the more expensive, the better, so there’s always a premium.”
Researchers say the moon rocks and other artifacts, such as the landing gear, have a market value comparable to the $50 million moon rock auction that took place in the early 2000s.
But the value of moon rocks has declined dramatically over the past decade and the researchers say the market is growing.
They’ve analyzed more than 200,000 moon rock auctions in the U.S. and Canada and determined that in recent years, the value for moon rocks in Canada has increased by a factor of eight.
The study, published online March 26 in the Journal of the Royal Astronomical Society, found that moon rock prices in Canada have been rising since the mid-2000s and that the number of moon rock sellers in the province is on track to double in the next decade.
“When it comes to moon rocks, Canada is a great place to buy,” Williams said.
“You’re not going to find much of a market for the moon on eBay, and when you do find one, it’s not going too badly.”
It’s a nice little niche that people are drawn to.
You don’t have to be a meteorologist to see the moon as a special place.
You just have to look at the moon, the colors and the lunar eclipse and be interested.””
It is interesting to see a price increase for the rock of the landing, because of the rarity of it,” said Williams, who is also a professor in the department of Earth sciences at the College of Arts and Sciences.”
The moon rock industry is in a bit of a precarious position, because the market has been falling,” he said.”
And if there’s a good seller, it means the moon market has a chance to grow.
But it’s hard to tell whether that market will go up or down.”‘
It’s been a long time coming’The moon is considered the second closest celestial body to Earth after the sun, with its distance from the earth roughly equal to the distance from New York City to Detroit.
The moon has been a popular tourist attraction since it was discovered in 1799 by a German astronomer, Johannes Kepler, and it was officially named for him.
The most famous photo of the landings was taken on Jan. 20, 1969, by NASA astronaut Buzz Aldrin, who had just taken his first picture of Earth from orbit.
The first images of landings were taken on April 18, 1969 and the last was taken March 20, 1973.
The Apollo 17 and 17 crew members, including Aldrin and his father, Neil Armstrong, are buried in the cemetery at the base of Mount Rainier.
The images of Armstrong and Aldrin’s landing are among the most iconic of the Apollo era.
The two men spent nearly two years on the surface of the Moon in a four-man lunar module.
It took astronauts for about seven hours to reach the surface, while the mission was originally scheduled to last two days, according the NASA website.
Aldrin died on June 30, 2017, at the age of 74.
The two astronauts have become synonymous with the Apollo program and have been memorialized on the moon since it became part of the National Air and Space Museum in 2017.
The United States paid about $100 million for the images in April 2021, the museum announced.
But it was a bit more than a decade later that prices began to drop, and now there’s no moon rock market.
In 2018, the price for a moon sample sold for $7,000, according formetals.com.
But some of the more valuable items, such the moon gear and the landing film, have been getting a bit rarer.
The new study suggests that the price is on the rise again, and there is potential for a dramatic rise in the market by 2021.”
If you look at what the prices have gone up for lunar samples, there is a real possibility that the market for lunar items could exceed the price that they were in 2012,” Williams explained.
In other words, if the moon samples are still selling for tens to hundreds of thousands, that could be a sign of a new wave of moon collectors.
It is certainly possible
